Bio

Alexis Frentz
Alexis leads tech investments across AI, data infrastructure and robotics. He backs founders building the next layer of intelligent systems, companies developing the foundational technologies that power artificial intelligence at scale.
Beyond investing, Alexis lectures on venture capital and AI strategy at École Polytechnique, where he teaches the next generation of technical founders and investors. His work sits at the intersection of AI infrastructure, capital allocation, and regulatory design, combining technical depth with strategic thinking about how emerging technologies interact with policy and markets.
Prior to Elaia, Alexis worked as a consultant for Eridanis, where he advised industrial clients on smart facility management, industrial connected sensors, and operational efficiency through digitalization. This early exposure to connected systems and data infrastructure at the edge informed his understanding of how intelligent systems scale from hardware to software.
Alexis holds degrees from École Polytechnique and École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne.
