Anne-Sophie Carrese
Anne-Sophie leads Elaia’s deep tech investment strategy and team, focusing on the earliest-stage scientific entrepreneurs.
Prior to Elaia, Anne-Sophie built a unique career spanning engineering, public finance, and venture capital. She worked as a test engineer in aircraft engines, negotiating critical partnerships with large industrial corporates and managing production teams. She then worked for the Direction du Trésor financing mobility projects abroad, followed by Caisse des Dépôts launching investments in renewable energy infrastructure. In 2009, she joined Bpifrance Investissement where she launched the mezzanine fund and structured the ecotechnologies Venture Fund, establishing herself as a pioneer in climate tech investing in France.
Anne-Sophie's combination of deep technical expertise, public sector experience, and venture capital acumen makes her uniquely positioned to support deep tech founders navigating complex scientific, regulatory, and commercial challenges.
Anne-Sophie holds a degree from École Polytechnique, Corps de l'Armement (X 1995).
